GCSE Summer 1 Composition task:Ternary form

This page will provide you with all the information you need to complete your composition by Friday 13th April 2018

Task:  Complete a composition that has the following features:
- A melody line with balanced phrases (4 bars long)
- An accompaniment line (with different techniques e.g. broken chords, inverted chords). Ensure you use primary chords (you could add the odd iib chord that follows on to V)

- A Bass line (with different rhythms). The bass line should be the bottom note of your chord.
- Make sure you include a written commentary as per the format below:


Make sure your piece is in Ternary form. It should be no shorter than 1 minute and no longer than 2 minutes.

DEADLINE:  Your completed piece must be ready for submission on Friday 13th April 2018.

Task.  Choose a chord sequence in C major, F major or G major that uses primary chords. I, IV and V.
